I feel as if my fingertips are itching to write today. Oddly, nothing is coming out of my head that makes sense. I wish I had the night right now. Under the cover of night, I can feel so free. The darkness feels so cool and perfect, the moon is my own light. The moon is the only light I wish to shine upon my flesh as I sleep, as I dream of you, as I hope . I wish to be held, but this wish is something, I've come to realize, will not be granted. In three years time, I hope to be in the splendor of your company. Doubt suddenly fills me. You dream, mortal child. You pray, mortal child, for something that probably will never come true.

He stood on the bridge silentlyand stared out at the cluttered assortment of lights in the distance. Soft twinkles of yellow, blue, white adn red shone against his somewhat chalky complexion. The wind was cold and harsh as it blew. The sight was so beautiful. No matte how many times he'd seen it, it still dazzeled him. It still gave him those soft little flutters in his stomach. There are no chicks in the Binghamton ROTC. That is the funniest shit I have ever heard. I have no idea why that fact just popped into my head but it did. Ok, I take that back. I do know why. I glanced down at the dog tags that hung around my neck, then over at the bottle of vanilla Vodka that sat on my desk, in front of my printer. "Hey! Get up and have fun with us." My roommate called from over on her boyfriend's lap. I didn't look at her but reluctant smile crossed my lips. She's tipsy already. Her bf had two shots of 99 bananas, some nasty, plastic bottle vodka and was making a face at the good shit because he didn't like vanilla. Pansy.
